CONFLICT RESOLUTION & ANGER PROGRAMMING
Programming for adults (18+) requiring skills that support healthy boundaries, communications and family life
CIRCLE OF SECURITY
The Circle of Security Parenting Program is an opportunity to explore the importance of parent/caregiver and child attachment, gather helpful tools to respond to your child’s emotional needs and feel more confident about your parenting.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
This course looks at the fundamentals of any adult relationship; including the foundations, needs, wants and learning new communication skills.

MEN'S ANGER MANAGEMENT
Explores the complex nature of anger, recognizing triggers, alternative methods of expression, and how to defuse anger.

A 17 week, intensive group intervention program for men who have, or are at risk of abusing, neglecting, or exposing their children to domestic violence.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING
I AM AWESOME- SPRING AND SUMMER CAMPS
UNITED WAYS SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAM
I AM AWESOME CAMPS
This program is sponsored by United Way and developed by The Family Education & Support Centre. This is an extension of the program that is usually run within the schools of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. The first theme being culture sharing and experience. Providing participants with the opportunity to develop natural curiosity and desire to learn, these themes will feature a different cultures and provide the opportunity for structured group activities that promote active participation and exploring. The participants taste traditional foods of each culture, and engage in an experiential activity that provides opportunity for them to explore, and discover more about each culture. We will do a different country or culture each week where the kids will get a snack, activity and short video on that country/ culture.

This course is designed to help young individuals with communication styles, triggers, “I” statements, looking at their special inner qualities, how to deal with stress and how to be a friend.

ANGER MONSTERS 8-12 years
Children's Program - 8-12 year old's learn what anger is, their triggers and tools for learning to control their anger.

Parent’s program – Features skills from Neufeld Institute, anger cycles, goals of behavior, how to support their child’s efforts to tame their anger monster, and calming techniques.

Ready Set Learn Series
A collaboration with School District 42 and The Family Education and Support Centre, this series of information and play sessions is geared towards parents and caregivers of young children (0-5 years). Each session will provide families with activities they can do at home, age-appropriate developmental information, and resource connections within the community. Door prize draw for participants at the end of the session.

HOME ALONE
This two-hour zoom course is an opportunity for parents/caregivers who want to prepare their 9-year-old child for staying at home alone when they turn 10 years old. Topics covered include: dealing with emergencies, answering the door, snacks/cooking and gauging your child’s readiness to be home alone. Our evening workshops are open to all families in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Registration will take place through the SD42 portal.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Are you looking for a place to belong? Support Groups bring community members together to talk through daily living and learn from one another with a trained facilitator. Registration is required for ALL support groups. All Support groups are FREE.
CAREGIVERS OF CHILDREN WITH DIVERSE NEEDS GROUP
No diagnosis needed to attend this group and we welcome all parents/caregivers.
Programming for children 0-6 is available during group sessions. Pre registration is required. Happy to chat by phone, email, text or in person for more information.
