The staff at Family Education & Support Centre hope you and your loved ones are keeping healthy and feel well supported during this time. In order to ensure we are doing our part to take care of our clients, The Family Education and Support Centre is now offering select support groups and programs online, via Zoom. These groups, currently, include: Young Parents Group, Parenting Young Children Group, and Great Dads Group. Due to Covid-19, all groups are on hold, however, all former clients are eligible to receive one on one support from group facilitators, please direct questions or registration regarding this service to email@example.com . PARENTING THROUGH THE AGES AND STAGES
Programming for parents and caregivers

STEP E PARENTING YOUNG CHILDREN
A FREE program: Developmentally appropriate parenting skills fo children ages 0-6. Programming for children 0-6 is available. This program will take place online, through Zoom network.
CONNECT PARENT GROUP
A FREE 10 week program. Supporting Parents and caregivers with concerns about their child aged 8-17's behaviours and emotional health. This group is currently running online, through Zoom.
MENTAL WELLNESS PARENTING
A FREE program. Designed to meet the specific needs of parents living with mental health challenges including anxiety and/or depression while parenting. No diagnosis needed to attend this program. Programming for children 0-6 is available.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION & ANGER PROGRAMMING
Programming for adults (18+) requiring skills that support healthy boundaries, communications and family life
This 2-part course looks at the fundamentals of any adult relationship; including the foundations, needs, wants and learning new communication skills.
Price: $45/part or $90 for both- includes registration for 2 adults.
MEN'S ANGER MANAGEMENT
Men’s Anger Management deals with the complex nature of anger, recognizing triggers, alternative methods of expression, and how to diffuse anger. This program will be running online, through Zoom network
Price: No Cost
BRAVE NEW YOU (WOMEN'S ANGER MANGEMENT)
Women learn about creating and keeping their boundaries, healthy communication, managing challenging conversations, expressing feelings and identifying your needs. This program will run online, through Zoom network.
Price: No Cost
Parent’s program – Features skills from Neufeld Institute, anger cycles, goals of behaviour, how to support their child’s efforts to tame their anger monster, and calming techniques. This program will run online, through Zoom network.
Sat 3-5pm, June 6- June 27, 2020
An Opportunity for parents and 9-12y/o to gain skills and information about being safe and making good choices when home alone. This program will run online, through Zoom.

We are offering 2 sessions of this eight week kindergarten readiness program for children entering school September 2020. Priority will be given to children who have not attended preschool.
Price: No Cost.
Registration begins September 2019 for both January and April programs.

UNITED WAYS SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAM
After School Pogramming
This after-school program is sponsored by United Way and developed by The Family Education & Support Centre. The program is run in various schools throughout Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

2 hour workshops
PARENTING RESILIENT CHILDREN
Understand what resiliency is and how we can foster it in our families. This program will run online, through Zoom.

AFTER THE ANGER- MEN'S GROUP
A continuation of Anger Management for Men working on anger management, conflict resolution, effective communication skills, stress management.

KEEPING THE CHANGE- WOMEN'S GROUP
A continuation of Brave New You are focusing on boundaries, empowerment, self-acceptance and enjoying the person you are.

Are you looking for a place to belong? Support Groups bring community members together to talk through daily living and learn from one another with a trained facilitator. Registration is required for ALL support groups. All Support groups are FREE.
RELAXATION &THERAPEUTIC TOUCH
For people living with cancer, pain, stress and or debilitating illness.
2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Featuring relaxation and meditation, sharing, caring and Therapeutic Touch.
FIBROMYALGIA SUPPORT GROUP
Drop in support for people living with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and other chronic pain.
