Under the Tree Childcare Centre provides your child with the opportunity for developing social and emotional skills, problem solving and learning to work together! Our experienced teachers facilitate through the promotion of meaningful investigation, giving your child the best chance to build skills in language, reading, math and science. PARENTING THROUGH THE AGES AND STAGES

CONFLICT RESOLUTION & ANGER PROGRAMMING
Programming for adults (18+) requiring skills that support healthy boundaries, communications and family life
STEP E PARENTING YOUNG CHILDREN
A FREE program: Developmentally appropriate parenting skills for children ages 0-6. Programming for children 0-6 is available.
Date: Sept 20- Oct 14 (Tues/Fri)

CONNECT PARENT GROUP
A FREE 10 week program. Supporting Parents and caregivers with concerns about their child aged 8-17's behaviours and emotional health.

SELF-CARE:
Mental Wellness for Parents
Designed to meet the specific needs of parents living with mental health challenges including anxiety and/or depression while parenting. No diagnosis needed to attend this program. Programming for children 0-6 is available.
IMMIGRANT PARENTING PROGRAM
A FREE program. This program will inform and educate parents and caregivers about parenting as immigrants to Canada.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
This course looks at the fundamentals of any adult relationship; including the foundations, needs, wants and learning new communication skills.
Date: Oct 22 &29 (Sat)
Time: 9am-3pm
Cost: $90 (price based on two participants, $45/each)
CARING DADS
A 17 intensive group intervention program for men who have, or are at risk of abusing, neglecting, or exposing their children to domestic violence.

MEN'S ANGER MANAGEMENT
Women learn about creating and keeping their boundaries, healthy communication, managing challenging conversations, expressing feelings and identifying your needs.

BRAVE NEW YOU (WOMEN'S ANGER MANGEMENT)
Women learn about creating and keeping their boundaries, healthy communication, managing challenging conversations, expressing feelings and identifying your needs.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING
ANGER MONSTERS
Children's Program - 8-12 year olds learn what anger is, their triggers and tools for learning to control their anger.
Parent’s program – Features skills from Neufeld Institute, anger cycles, goals of behavior, how to support their child’s efforts to tame their anger monster, and calming techniques.
Dates: Oct 15- Nov 5 (Sat)
Time: 330 - 530pm
Cost: $90 (price based on one adult and one child participant)
I AM AWESOME- SPRING AND SUMMER CAMPS
This course is designed to help young individuals with communication styles, triggers, “I” statements, looking at their special inner qualities, how to deal with stress and how to be a friend.

HOME ALONE
An Opportunity for parents and 9-12y/o to gain skills and information about being safe and making good choices when home alone.

SCHOOL'S COOL
We are offering 2 sessions of this eight week kindergarten readiness program for children entering elementary school. Priority will be given to children who have not attended preschool.

UNITED WAYS SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAM
This program is sponsored by United Way and developed by The Family Education & Support Centre. This is an extension of the program that is usually run within the schools of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. The first theme being culture sharing and experience. Providing participants with the opportunity to develop natural curiosity and desire to learn, these themes will feature a different cultures and provide the opportunity for structured group activities that promote active participation and exploring. The participants taste traditional foods of each culture, and engage in an experiential activity that provides opportunity for them to explore, and discover more about each culture. We will do a different country or culture each week where the kids will get a snack, activity and short video on that country/ culture.

UNITED WAYS SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAM - Spring Break Camp

UNITED WAY SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAM-Summer Camp
The eight weeks United Way sponsored Summer Program is organized by Family Education and Support Centre. It is opened to children Kindergarten (age 5) up to Grade 7 and it is located at Under the Tree, Whonnock, 9975 272nd Street, Maple Ridge. The completed the form is to be emailed to msutherland@familyed.ca or you may drop it off at the Family Education and Support Centre at 22554 Lougheed Hwy, Maple Ridge.

PARENTING & PERSONAL GROWTH WORKSHOPS
2 hour workshops In Person and Zoom options available

PARENTING RESILIENT CHILDREN
Understand what resiliency is and how we can foster it in our families. Please note this workshop will take place online through Zoom.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Are you looking for a place to belong? Support Groups bring community members together to talk through daily living and learn from one another with a trained facilitator. Registration is required for ALL support groups. All Support groups are FREE.

Support for individuals suffering from brain injuries that have affected their lives.

RELAXATION &THERAPEUTIC TOUCH
For people living with cancer, pain, stress and or debilitating illness.
2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Featuring relaxation and meditation, sharing, caring and Therapeutic Touch.

FIBROMYALGIA SUPPORT GROUP
Drop in support for people living with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and other chronic pain.

(B)E-TOGETHER WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUP
In this women's support group we will find fun ways to stay together but apart. Join us to do some yoga, Zumba, cooking or crafts or simply have a cup of coffee ONLINE & TOGETHER!
