AMHRC - Who We Are

What is the Adult Mental Health Resource Centre?

Enhancing the level of awareness and knowledge of mental health issues has been identified as a need in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. The Adult Mental Health Resource Centre, through funding from the Simon Fraser Health Region, was established to address this need. We assist with public education on mental health issues and provide meeting space for mental health support groups.

What services does the Resource Centre offer?

Public Education

Public information forums and workshops on mental health issues. These will be publicized on the website and in the local media.

Mental Health Information

Information and resources including books, pamphlets and videos on mental health issues.

An internet access computer that can be used by the public to gain information on mental health concerns.

Referrals for Consumers and Families

Anyone with a mental health concern can speak to our outreach worker during office hours. It’s best to call ahead to ensure that the worker will be available at the time you want to come in. The outreach worker will assist you in finding the help you need.

Support Groups

We have comfortable and attractive meeting space for mental health support groups. Call us if you are interested in participating in or starting a group. We will accommodate your group if possible; or if not, we will refer you to a support group at another location.

Some of the groups currently meeting at the Adult Mental Health Resource Centre may be seen here.
