Immigrant Settlement Services provides assistance and support to immigrants, newcomers, and refugees to help understand and adjust to life in the community.
Services Provided:
- Information and Referral : Wide range of information on government and community resources.
- Orientation Services : Introductory information on a variety of service areas on Canadian life and culture.
- Settlement Support : Identifying needs and providing adaptation support services.
- Application/ Form-filling : Assistance in accessing a variety of applications and provide assistance with filling out government forms.
- Child Care Subsidy : Assistance with filling out forms and providing information for clients.
- Translation/ Interpretation Program : Volunteer interpreters and translators available for community agencies and individuals in different languages.
- Workshops : Educational workshops on cultural and immigrant issues.
- Service Bridging : Helping community service providers better understand and respond to client needs.
